We all have, in some point in our life, come to a place where a decision must be made, and we have asked ourselves, which path should I take?
If you looked at the different paths you might find, one gives you the financial reward you are looking for. Or the other one gives the chance to complete a dream, move to a better lifestyle or simply being able to do the things you have been longing to do for some time. To help with that decision you can ask yourself, what do I want? Which one would make me happy? Or which path gives me the opportunity to do the things I want to do?
If you knew the end destination of each path, that would help, but what if they both end up in the same place? With the help of a coach, you can follow the path that you feel will give you the highest chance of success in getting to the destination. Knowing what each path looks like gives you a more transparent thought process of what you can expect on the journey, as well as what pitfalls you might encounter, resources you will need and an understanding of what the timescales will be for you to get to the end of your pathway.
It can be a hard decision to make if you don’t know where each path takes you or which path gives you best chance of success but making those decisions on your own can feel daunting, overwhelming or can lead to procrastination. This is where you can seek help from a coach who will be challenging, supportive and understanding, but will improve your self-awareness and self-reflection skills, enabling you to make the right choice for you.
One of my favourite coaching techniques is, the coaching wheel. It combines self-reflection with a visual aid, to identify strengths and weaknesses. Once you know what you need to improve, you can start planning what needs to be done, and what helps is needed to make it happen. This allows you to see your improvements and track the progress you are making on the path to achieving your goal. Use our contact us form to request a free copy of my coaching wheel.
